IMPORTANT - MUST READ
The following are mixing instructions for the ratios that we feel would be most advantageous to your application. Please understand we can only make suggestions on the ratio. We also suggest that you mix 1-2 trial pours to evaluate your ratios. Excessive amounts of resin may cause undesirable results, i.e. wavy water line.
We feel a 1 part B (blue label) to 1 part A (red label) ratio will give you best results. If you desire a “harder” or denser “feel”, simply adjust the ratio to more parts “B” and fewer parts “A”. Remember the more the “B” material the harder the casting. The more the “A” material the softer the casting (possibly causing a sticky surface).
- Step 1 Application surface should be clean, dry and grease free. Remove the cap of the “A” material. Pour to the desired level of a measured vessel.
- Step 2 Remove the cap from “B” material. Pour to the same desired level. Remember the more “B” material, the harder the casting. We recommend that you increase in increments of 10% to change the “feel” of material.
- Step 3 Pour both the “A” cup and “B” cup into the mixing vessel. Begin mixing.
- Step 4 IMPORTANT: Mix until material becomes clear. Mix thoroughly. It should take approximately 3 minutes. Any bubbles in the mix will dissipate during curing time.
- Step 5 Pour material into desired receptacle, i.e., vase, etc. We recommend a funnel so material does not touch side of glass. We also believe the best results are to use clear glass - not tinted.
- Step 6 Curing time is 24 to 36 hours, depending upon ambient temperature. Place finished casting on a level surface for curing.
- Step 7 When finished, discard mixing cup. Clean the “A” and “B” cup if you wish to reuse them with soap and water. Dry thoroughly.
Helpful Hint: Pouring Aqua Clear over river rocks or marbles will have a very desirable effect. We also do not recommend that more than 20 ounces be poured at one time. Pouring more than 20 ounces at one time could cause an undesirable reaction. For smaller pours (1-5 ounces), use 7 ounces of “B” to 5 ounces of “A”.
